which can be expensive to realize and you often don't have much more free peasents than you have at a working economy with ~70 people (usually 6-12 free peasants in my case), because you have to assign all the peasants in new production buildings to actually afford your higher population with a high and stable taxation.This tutorial is meant for multiplayer matches, but can be used also when you play skirmish. More people = more stuff needed = more production buildings needed 4-5 Woodcutters are enough too for this amount of people. It's always good to have a reference point. If you need more peasants and therefore want to place more housings, just add a single brewery and candle maker each step and look how it works. ~70 is a good number and they usually only need 4-5 breweries and candle makers to support a x2 boost in both with a minor production plus. Try to get a working economy before you unnecessary raise your population. 8 breweries are to less for 200 peasants for example. Your problem is the big population and your missing knowledge about 'how many production buildings do I need for X people.' (no offence) The economy works. I really hate this as it stands, very unhappy. They need to scrap the happiness nonsense and get it back to managing supply and demand of resources solely - so you can actually enjoy the battles instead of fiddling trying to place tiny boxes on tiles. There's too few peasants to build even an equal number of troops to what they attack you with and not even time to repair before the next assault, let alone attack saladins castle.ДЄnd this applies to the whole campaign so far - the economy is disfunctional. It just doesn't function properly - I've left gaps between buildings to let workers past - I've grouped building types - I have multiples of every economic building yet still the granary is repeatedly empty. The repeated enemy spawns of a hundred troops at a time do not give me any time to slowly build up peasants to build an army - the economy is all wrong. I have at least 8 breweries and candle makers but I can't boost past x1 on ale or services. I'm playing stage 4 of the 'Learning Campaign' Jerusalem at Normal difficulty.
